UK-based international short film label Future Shorts has become the official short film partner for MySpace France during Cannes. MySpace is hosting afternoon entertainment (from 3-6pm each day May 16-27) on the Smiley Beach (opposite the Noga Hilton) featuring bands and DJs including the likes of New Order's Peter Hook plus French artists Alex Beaupain and Claire Diterzi. Future Shorts will screen short films between the audio entertainment. Future Shorts has been conducting short screenings in France since 2004, but will develop the French network further in 2007 with a new partner. A Paris relaunch is planned in July.
