Summit Entertainment has hired Gail Heaney as senior vice president of media.
Heaney will strategise the media mix in support of Summit releases in all major distribution windows and supervise the studio's media buying agencies to deliver marketing materials to the consumer via print, broadcast, outdoor and online outlets.
She will report to Summit's soon to be named president of marketing.
Heaney most recently worked for CW Television Network as the vice president of media strategies where she developed multi-layered media campaigns for such shows as Reaper and Gossip Girl.
From 2005 to 2007 she served as vice president of media for Universal Pictures.
