Claus Boje and Detlev Buck's production outfit: Boje Buck Produktion and theatrical distribution outlet Delphi Filmverleih are the latest companies to become partners in the rapidly expanding Producers AG.

Producers AG CEO Friedrich-Carl Wachs confirmed last week during the Berlin Film Festival that the Potsdam-based media venture capital company will acquire shares in a step-by-step procedure to eventually hold a majority 51% stake in the two companies.

Boje Buck Produktion was originally created to produce the feature films of director Detlev Buck such as Karniggels, Maennerpension and Liebesluder and expanded in the last two years to produce features by other filmmakers such as the highly successful Sun Alley (Sonnenallee) by Leander Haussmann and Conamara by Eoin Moore.

Producers AG, which was founded in 1999 by the Duesseldorf-based IKB Deutsche Industriebank, the Brandenburg Investment Bank ILB and the Hamburg's Media Venture Beteiligungsgesellschaft, has so far taken stakes in three Munich-based production outfits TV-60 Filmproduktion, MTM Medien- und Television Muenchen, and Hager Moss Film, Cologne-based Zeitsprung, Hamburg's Lichtblick Filmproduktion and Berlin-based box! Film- und Fernsehproduktion, and aims to invest around $ 40m in a total of between ten and twelve companies before embarking on a stockmarket flotation in the third quarter of this year.
