Kuno Becker has replaced Diego Luna as the lead actor infootball drama Goal!, which started shooting in London on January 29.

Buena Vista International have picked up Internationalrights to the film, while Latino targeted film label Arenas Entertainment hasUS rights.

Mexican actor Becker, whose credits include ImaginingArgentina, stars in the rags to riches story of a young Latino player whojournies from the Barrios of East LA to the glamour of the English Premierleague to try and win a contract with Newcastle United.

It is the second major personnel change on Goal!in recent months. Director Michael Winterbottom was attached to the film, whichis now being directed by Danny Cannon.

The $30m soccer epic is being produced by Mike Jefferiesand Matt Barrelle of milkshakefilms, and will also be filmed at Pinewood and onlocation on Newcastle and Los Angeles.

The rest of the cast includes Stephen Dillane,Allessandro Nivola, Anna Friel, Marcel Lures, Sean Pertwee, Cassandra Bell, andKieran O'Brien. Also slated to appear are Newcastle United chairman FreddyShepherd and captain Alan Shearer.

Other football stars appearing in the movie include DavidBeckham, Zinedine Zidane and Raul from Real Madrid.
