Thailand's GMM Tai Hub (GTH) has announced a raft of AFM sales led by horror title Coming Soon, directed by Shutter co-scriptwriter Sophon Sakdaphisit, which sold to Mido Films Brno for the Czech Republic, Bir Film for Turkey and Queen Films for Indonesia.

After opening Oct 30, the $1.2m film clocked up $1.42m (50m baht) in its first week and is currently still on release. It tells the story of a horror film that follows its audience members back home from the theatre.

Mido Films Brno also picked up GTH's award-winning horror film Alone, as did Filmcilik ve Sinemacilik for Turkey. Alone was the second feature from Shutter directors Parkpoom Wongpoom and Banjong Pisanthanakun.

The $2.5m film was released in Thailand in 2007 and took $2.3m (80m baht) at the local box office.

GTH reports that the film was previously sold and released in 20 countries and had the all-time highest box office for a non-English speaking movie in Taiwan. It also holds the record as the highest-grossing Thai film in Korea with 500,000 admissions.
