Directors Catherine Hardwicke, Courtney Hunt and Jonathan Levine will be among the panelists at Film Independent's ninth annual Directors Close-Up: Conversations On The Art Of Filmmaking series, set to run at The Landmark - West Los Angeles from February 4- March 11.

Subjects under discussion will include music and sound design, the director's relationship with the creative team, writing and directing, and casting and directing actors.

'The Directors Close-Up series is a rare opportunity for both film-makers and film lovers to learn about film-making first-hand from some of our most prominent independent directors and their collaborators,' Film Independent executive director Dawn Hudson said.
