With anestimated international gross of $568.2m, Harry Potter And The Chamber OfSecrets has overtaken JurassicPark as the thirdhighest grossing international release of all time. The family sequel took$7.1m over the weekend and just over one million admissions from 4,000 screensin 53 territories, according to studio estimates. The new total puts it behindsecond-placed Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone on $649.59m and Titanic, which leads the all-time internationalbox office on $1.2bn. Warner Bros has projected a number one opening in Chinafor Chamber Of Secrets,on a par with its predecessor. New reporting systems in the territory, alongwith rampant video piracy and poor weather in Shanghai, have delayed accuratefigures for China.

Meanwhileromantic comedy Two Weeks Notice opened in second place in Taiwan behind the Chinese production Hero. In Taipei Two Weeks Notice grossed $190,000 (NT$6.5m) and 28,000admissions from 23 prints. The estimated nationwide running total is US$379,000(NT$13.1m). In Malaysia it also opened second behind Hero, taking $49,000 (local currency 185,000)from 20 prints. Overall Two Weeks Notice grossed $1.1m and 206,000 admissions from 416 screens insix territories. The international cumulative score to date is just over $9m.Next week the picture opens in The Philippines (Feb 5) and Greece, Thailand andthe UK on Feb 7.
