here! Films has acquired North American rights to author and film-maker Shamim Sarif's lesbian romance I Can't Think Straight.

Sister company Regent Releasing will distribute Sarif's The World Unseen on November 7 in New York, Los Angeles and Toronto followed by I Can't Think Straight on November 21 in the same cities prior to regional roll-out.

Written, directed, financed and produced entirely by women, I Can't Think Straight is an Enlightenment Productions film of Sarif's upcoming novel about the love between a spirited Christian woman and a shy Muslim girl.

Hanan Kattan produced and Lisa Tchenguiz-Imerman served as executive producer on both titles. The novels will be sold on Amazon.com in November to tie in with the theatrical releases.

Regent's vice president of acquisitions Quinn Coleman brokered the deal for I Can't Think Straight with Enlightenment Films' Hanan Kattan.
