here! Films has picked upfirst-time filmmaker Jason Garrett's documentary Mr Leather, which chronicles nine men as they compete to becrowned Mr Los Angeles Leather.

The picture was a sell-out at the recent Outfest in Los Angeles and alsoscreened at the Chicago Gay & Lesbian Film Festival and the PhiladelphiaInternational Gay & Lesbian Film Festival.

The picture charts the aspirations of the contestants and also unzips thefetish sub-culture with interviews from sex experts, psychologists, doctors,and authors.

British-born Garrett produced Mr Leather and made his name in music videos. He currently serves as head ofpost-production at Malibu-based Planet Grande Pictures.

here! will open Mr Leather in select theatres in 2007.
