Andrew Herwitz, president ofNew York-based The Film Sales Company, has signed on as independent consultantfor Jim Stern's production and financing outfit Endgame Entertainment.

Herwitz will immediatelybegin scouting material for Endgame's development, co-production financing andacquisitions fund, structuring deals and advising on sales strategies.

"It is refreshing to workwith someone like Jim who has fantastic instincts and who is willing to pullthe trigger and make a decision," Herwitz said in a statement.

"Andrew is a super smart guywho knows the industry and can evaluate opportunities both creatively andfinancially," Stern added.

"Combined with his greatrelationships in New York and the UK, this makes him the perfect addition toour team."

Herwitz brings a wealth ofexperience to his new role. He founded The Film Sales Company after serving atMiramax for more than six years, most recently as co-head of acquisitions.

Endgame Entertainment isco-financing three films currently in production: Five Children And It, in partnership with The Henson Company and the UK'sCapitol Films; Compleat Female Stage Beauty with Tribeca Pictures and Artisan Entertainment; andHarold & Kumar Go To White Castle with Senator International and New Line.

Prior to starting Endgame,Stern produced more than 20 Broadway and film productions and is a two-timeTony Award winning producer.

He also directed MichaelJordan To The Max, and It's TheRage, starring Gary Sinise, JoanAllen and Jeff Daniels.
