Philip Seymour Hoffman will star in Capitol Films' Before TheDevil Knows You're Dead,which is set to begin shooting in July in New York City.

Sidney Lumet is directing the story about two brotherswhose plan to rob their parents' jewellery store leads to a devastating climax.Ethan Hawke, Albert Finney and Marisa Tomei round out the key cast.

Lumet co-wrote the screenplay with Kelly Masterson. Michael Cerenzie of UNITV Productions, Brian Linse and William S Gilmoreare producing, and Belle Avery serves as executive producer.

Capitol is financing and handling international sales. ICMpackaged the project and is representing North American rights with Capitol.
