The HollywoodFilm Festival has announced its roster of craft awards recipients for theupcoming Hollywood Awards Gala Ceremony at the Beverly Hilton on Oct 24.
Pawel Edelmanwill receive the Hollywood Cinematographer of the Year Award, Walter Murch willbe honoured with the Hollywood Editor of the Year Award, and costume designerColleen Atwood will receive the Hollywood Costume Designer of the Year Award.
Productiondesigner Grant Major will receive the Hollywood Production Designer of the YearAward and casting director Avy Kaufman will be honoured with the HollywoodCasting Director of the Year Award.
Edelman receiveda best cinematography Academy Award nomination for The Pianist and most recently photographed Ray. Upcoming credits include RomanPolanski's Oliver Twistand Steven Zaillian's All the King's Men.
Murch has wonthree Oscars for film or sound editing for The English Patient and Apocalypse Now. His other credits include ColdMountain, The Conversationand the upcoming Jarhead.
Major won theOscar for his production design work on The Lord Of The Rings: The Return OfThe King, as well asnominations for the other two instalments in Peter Jackson's trilogy.
He worked onJackson's upcoming King Kong remake and his previous credits include Whale Rider, HeavenlyCreatures and AnAngel At My Table.
Atwood won abest costume design Oscar for Chicago and also worked on Lemony Snicket's A Series Of UnfortunateEvents and SleepyHollow, among others.Upcoming releases include Memoirs Of A Geisha with her Chicago director Rob Marshall,and Mission Impossible III.
Kaufman received the Casting Society of America's ArtiosAward for State And Main, and has receivedeight other Artios nominations. Upcoming projects include Syriana,Capote, and Derailed.
'MrEdelman, Mr Murch, Mr Major, Ms Atwood, and Ms Kaufman have demonstratedextraordinary ability throughout their careers," Hollywood Film Festivalfounder and executive director Carlos de Abreu said.
"They are excellent examples of highly talentedprofessionals whose work and creative vision are to be applauded andhonored.'
Screen International issponsoring the Hollywood World Award which will be presented on the night andhonour best international film of the year.
