Cinematographer Roger Deakins, film composer Alexandre Desplat, editor Dana Glauberman, production designer Rick Carter and costume designer Colleen Atwood will be honoured at this autumn’s Hollywood Awards Gala.

The honourees will receive their awards at the culmination of the 13th Annual Hollywood Film Festival on October 26 in Beverly Hills.

Deakins, a longtime Coen Brothers collaborator, has earned eight Oscar nominations during his career for such work as No Country For Old Men, Fargo and The Shawshank Redemption, and is expected to figure in this year’s awards race for his work on Ethan and Joel Coen’s A Serious Man, which gets its world premiere in Toronto.

Desplat received two Oscar nominations for his scores for The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button and The Queen and his latest work includes Toronto world premiere Cheri, Terrence Malick’s The Tree Of Life, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Fantastic Mr Fox, Julie & Julia, Cannes hit A Prophet, and Coco Before Chanel .

Glauberman received American Cinema Editors nominations for her work on Juno and Thank You For Smoking and her latest editing assignment for Jason Reitman was on Up In The Air, which stars George Clooney and just screened at Telluride. The film will receive its official world premiere at Toronto. Her other recent credits include Love Happens with Jennifer Aniston and Aaron Eckhart.

Carter received an Oscar nomination for his art and production design work on Forrest Gump and his upcoming film is James Cameron’s Avatar, while Atwood, the Academy Award winning costume designer on Memoirs Of A Geisha and Chicago, has again collaborated with director Rob Marshall on the upcoming Nine.
