Hyde Park International has closed a slew of deals here on its EFM slate, headed by Roger Spottiswoode's drama The Children Of Huang Shi starring Chow Yun-Fat.

Rights have gone to: Metropolitan (France); MGM (CIS); Paris Films (Brazil); Gussi (all remaining Latin American rights); Village Roadshow (Greece); RCV (Benelux); Lusomundo (Portugal); Eastern Europe (Modus Vivendi); Aqua Pinema (Turkey); and Phars (Middle East).

Sales chief Lisa Wilson is in final negotiations with Japan on comedy The Astronaut Farmer starring Billy Bob Thornton and Virginia Madsen, while a French deal is close on the diamond heist film Flawless starring Demi Moore and Michael Caine.

Final negotiations with Italy were ongoing on Stuart Townsend's directorial debut and ensemble protest film Battle In Seattle. James Ivory's contemporary drama The City Of Your Final Destination has sold to: Azeta (Spain); MGM (CIS); Village Roadshow (Greece); Lusomundo (Portugal); Cathay (Singapore); Aqua Pinema (Turkey); Modus Vivendi (Eastern Europe); Forum (Israel); and Phars (Middle East).

Wilson is in final talks with a German buyer on the romantic comedy On The Other End Of The Line, which has gone to: Village Roadshow (Greece); Lusomundo (Portugal); Nu Metro (South Africa); Forum (Israel); Dutch Filmworks (Benelux); Aqua Pinema (Turkey); Modus Vivendi (Eastern Europe); and Phars (Middle East).
