Hyde Park Entertainment and Singapore based Toonz Entertainment and
LA-based Gang Of 7 Animation are collaborating on the CGI animated
feature The Life And Adventures Of Santa Claus.

Based on The Wizard Of Oz creator Frank L Baum's novel of the same
name, the story charts Father Christmas' life from infancy to
adulthood, focusing on a heroic encounter with an evil force in an
enchanted realm.

Production is set to begin in November at the Toonz Animation Studio
in India in time for a Christmas 2010 release. Hyde Park is handling
international sales and co-represents North American rights with G7
Animation.

G7's Tom Tataranowicz, Rich Arons and Dick Sebast will direct and have
previously supervised Disney, Marvel and Hanna Barbera features. The
team of artists on The Life And Adventures Of Santa Claus has worked
on the likes of Finding Nemo, The Lion King and The Iron Giant.

'I grew up watching The Wizard of Oz and it's wonderful to bring this
classic origin story of Santa Claus to the screen, particularly this
novel from such an amazing writer', Hyde Park CEO Ashok Amritraj said.

'This is our first CGI theatrical feature and it's a great moment for
us,' Toonz Group CEO P Jayakumar added. 'We at Toonz look forward to
this challenging opportunity which would test our creative talents,
and anticipate an exciting and quality production.'

'We are very pleased to bring this exciting fantasy to life,' G7
Animation head Tataranowicz said.
