Benvenuto Presidente will open the second Italian Contemporary Film Festival (ICFF) in Toronto on Jun 26.

Riccardo Milani’s political comedy (pictured) stars Claudio Bisio as a librarian who is mistakenly voted in as Italian president.

Selection highlights include Gabriele Salvatores’ Siberian Education, Giuseppe Tornatore’s The Last Leopard: Portrait Of Goffredo Lombardo, Matteo Garrone’s Reality and Jerry Ciccoritti’s The Resurrection Of Tony Gittone.

The festival is set to run until Jul 6 and expands this year to Montreal where a selection will screen from Jun 26-30 in collaboration with La Cinématheque Québecoise.
