IFC Films has picked up North American rights to Kristian Levring's Danish drama Fear Me Not, which received its word premiere in Toronto's Contemporary World Cinema section last weekend.

Ulrich Thomsen stars as a man whose mood begins to swing violently after he undertakes clinical trials for an anti-depressant drug.

Levring wrote the screenplay with Anders Thomas Jensen Paprika Steen and Stine Stengade also star.

IFC will release the drama next year. Vice president of acquisitions and production Arianna Bocco brokered the deal in Toronto with TruskNordisk.
