IFC Entertainment has picked up North American rights toHans-Christian Schmid's exorcism tale Requiem, the true story that inspiredlast year's release The Exorcism Of Emily Rose.

IFC will open the picture through its multi-platformlabel First Take on Oct 20 following its North American premiere here in the ContemporaryWorld Cinema section.

The film premiered at Berlin in February and earned Sandra Huller the Silver Bearand a German Film Award for her portrayal of Michaela Klingler,an epileptic who seeks the help of a priest after she breaks down atuniversity.

Jonathan Sehring,Liz Nastro and Ryan Werner from IFC negotiated the deal with Thorsten Schaumann of Bavaria Films International.

IFC also announced yesterday that it has acquired JamesStern and Adam Del Deo's political documentary and Toronto world premiere 'SoGoes The Nation.
