IFM World Releasing, the distribution associate of US/Australian international film and TV sales company IFM Film Associates, has picked up worldwide distribution rights on the horror title Grim Weekend. The picture will premiere at the upcoming MIP-TV in Cannes.

Grim Weekend centres on a real estate agent who invites friends and co-workers for a weekend in a remote woodland cabin when an unknown assailant begins to murder the group. The picture was directed by Bob Willems, written by Carl Bonin and Ken Hebert and produced by Willems and Herbert.

IFM co-founder and president Antony I Ginnane said in a statement: 'Our clients tell us thrillers continue to be the most efficient programming unit for free and pay TV schedules. Grim Weekend joins The Risen and Turner Affair [which were both launched at last month's AFM], heading IFM's 2003 line-up.'
