IM Global has reported strong initial sales on the upcoming Mickey Rourke thriller St Vincent and is close to selling out Rebecca Miller's The Private Lives Of Pippa Lee following the drama's world premiere here in Berlinon Monday night.

St Vincent reunites Rourke with his Johnny Handsome director Walter Hill for the first time in 20 years; it has sold to Latin America (Swen), Scandinavia (Scanbox), Benelux (RCV), Greece (Village Roadshow), Portugal (Ecofilms), the Middle East (Gulf), Singapore, the Philippines and Malaysia (Multivision), Turkey (TMC), and airlines (Cinesky). Filming is set to begin later this year.

Pippa Lee starring Robin Wright Penn and Keanu Reeves closed with Swen for Latin America.

Managing director Stuart Ford and his team showed first footage to the psychological thriller After Life starring Liam Neeson and Christina Ricci and sold rights to Australia and New Zealand (Village Roadshow), France (Other Angle), South Korea (Ssamzie) and Beneleux (RCV).

The thriller Shelter starring Julianne Moore and Jonathan Rhys Meyers screened for the first time here and is close to selling out after rights went for Italy (Eagle), Scanbox (Scandinavia) and E1 (Canada).

The animated adventure Battle For Terra 3D screened on Sunday and has gone to Russia (Luxor), Spain (Xpand), and South Korea (Ssamzie). Lionsgate holds US rights.
