Producing Indian content for the Indian and international market and film financing options will be on the agenda at the 7th Annual Indian Film Festival Of Los Angeles’seminar series In Prime Time: Hollywood’s Spotlight On India on April 24.

Screen International US editor Mike Goodridge will moderate the production seminar and discuss the subject with Hyde Park Entertainment CEO Ashok Amritraj, Fox Searchlight CFO Jill Gwen, Slumdog Millionaire star Anil Kapoor of Anil Kapoor Productions, and Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production’s executive vice president Jason Reed.

Film Independent’s director of talent development Josh Welsh will host the Film Financing: Co-Productions Or Alternatives panel and hear from Independent Television Service programming manager Karim Ahmad, the CEO of Phat Phish’s motion picture division Sanjay Bhattacharjee, National Film Development Corporation’s managing director Nina Gupta, and Nuclear Mango Studios co-president and Split Image Pictures founder Govind Menon.

The panels will take place from 2.30-5.30pm at CAA in Century City following opening remarks from CAA agent Emanuel Nunez and entertainment lawyer David Tenzer, PricewaterhouseCoopers global entertainment and media practice managing partner Marcel Fenez, and Smita Jha, a director from PricewaterhouseCoopers’ India entertainment and media practice.

Organisers also announced there will be a special screening of Big Pictures’ Kashmir-set thriller Sikandar directed by Piyush Jha that stars Parzaan Dastur, Madhavan, Sanjay Suri, Ayesha Kapoor and Arunoday Singh.

The 7th Annual Indian Film Festival Of Los Angeles is scheduled to run from April 21-26.
