Independent DigitalEntertainment, aka InDigEnt, the New York-based digital production collectivehas begun shooting its 16th feature in New York City this week.

The as-yetuntitled film was written and is being directed by Maria Maggenti, who hasn'tmade a film since 1995's The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls In Love.

The romanticcomedy stars Gretchen Mol, who is the star of Toronto festival world premiere TheNotorious Bettie Paige,Justin Kirk (Angels in America) and Elizabeth Reaser. Producers on the project are Jake Abrahamwho joined InDigEnt in 2000 and Eden Wurmfeld (Kissing Jessica Stein).

InDigEnt wasfounded in 1999 by filmmaker Gary Winick, Cinetic Media chief John Sloss andIFC Productions' Jonathan Sehring and Caroline Kaplan. It has produced a slewof hit festival titles such as Personal Velocity, Chelsea Walls, Tape,Pieces Of April, November, Land Of Plenty and Winick's own Tadpole.

The company'snewest completed film is Sorry, Haters, from Jumpin At The Boneyard director Jeff Stanzler, whichhad its world premiere in Toronto over the weekend. The film, which stars RobinWright Penn, Abdellatif Kechiche, Elodie Bouchez and Sandra Oh, is generatingbuzz among buyers and critics, especially for Wright Penn's performance.

Cinematographer onMaggenti's film is Mauricio Rubinstein, who also shot Sorry, Haters.
