Sixty features,documentaries and shorts including the New York premiere of Mira Nair's TheNamesake will screen during theIndo-American Arts Council's Sixth IAAC (Indo-American Arts Festival) FilmFestival in New York from Nov 1- 5.

Screenings include AdityaBhattacharya's adaptation of King Lear called Dubai Return,Suman Gosh's Podokkhep Footstepswith Nandita Das, Rehana Mirza's Hiding Divya starring Madhur Jaffrey, Rajiv Virani's MyBollywood Bride with Jason Lewis,and Varun Khanna's American Blend.

"Submissions were up anastounding amount, over 300% this year!" festival director Pooja KohliTaneja said. "This is a product of the tremendous talent and commitment ofnascent South Asian filmmakers, and the IAAC film festival is one of the fewplatforms in the country for filmmakers of South Asian origin."
