Fifteen feature film casting directors from seven countrieshave founded the International Network of Casting Directors (INCD).

The idea for an informal international network was floatedduring a meeting of casting directors during European Film Promotion's ShootingStars event at the Berlinale.

Until now, casting directors have only been organised innational associations, but INCD would offer them "the chance to exchangeideas on an international level about their different ways of working, to takeadvantage of synergies with international co-productions and to attract greaterattention to the work of casting a film."

The founding members, who all work primarily on feature filmprojects for the cinema, are :

France: Olivier Carbone, Francoise Menidrey, FrederiqueMoidon, Nicholas Ronchi
Germany: Anja Dihrberg, Heta Mantscheff
Italy: Barbara Giordani, Beatrice Kruger, Shaila Rubin
Spain: Pep Armengol, Camilla Isola
Sweden: Imor Hermann
UK: Leo Davis, Debbie McWilliams
USA: Lina Todd

The first meeting of the network's founders is planned to beheld during the Cannes Film Festival in May.
