Jackson George has joined Overture Films as executive vice president of creative advertising and will oversee theatrical creative campaigns for the studio.

Prior to Overture, George served as creative director at the theatrical advertising agency In Sync Advertising.

During his eight-year tenure he worked on campaigns for more than 100 films, among them Cast Away, Walk the Line, What Lies Beneath, 3:10 To Yuma and Night At The Museum.

Overture recently released its first film, the comedy Mad Money with Diane Keaton, Queen Latifah and Katie Holmes. The company acquired Mark Pellington's drama Henry Poole is Here starring Luke Wilson at Sundance and begins production next month on the family drama Humboldt Park starring John Leguizamo and Freddy Rodriguez.

Upcoming releases are Sundance entry Sleepwalking with Nick Stahl, Charlize Theron and AnnaSophia Robb, Tom McCarthy's The Visitor with Richard Jenkins and crime thriller Righteous Kill starring Robert De Niro and Al Pacino.
