The new evp of worldwide marketing previously served as svp of marketing and research at Fox and worked on the likes of Avatar and X-Men First Class.
In addition to his duties Helfgot will assume responsible for broadening cross-promotional strategies with other divisions of Walden parent The Anschutz Company.
“We have worked with [Jonathan] with great success for several years and appreciate his experience in research, digital marketing and creative advertising,” Anschutz Film Group CEO David Weil said.
“He’ll be a major asset here as we continue to deliver a diverse slate of family films to the market each year.”

In a joint statement Fox presidents of domestic marketing Tony Sella and Oren Aviv said: “Jonathan’s insights across a variety of marketing disciplines have been invaluable. While we will miss his daily contributions, we look forward to joining forces with him and his team at Walden, as we together bring Won’t Back Down, Of Men And Mavericks and Parental Guidance to the marketplace.”
