Just Married, the Fox comedy that opened number one in January in the US, hasscored the biggest ever opening day for a comedy in Mexico. The picture, whichstars Brittany Murphy and Ashton Kutcher as newlyweds who embark on adisastrous honeymoon, opened on Feb 5 and grossed $465,916 from 250 screens. Itwas also the sixth biggest bow ever for a Fox International picture in theterritory, even beating Titanic.

FoxInternational president Scott Neeson said in a statement: 'We are delightedwith these outstanding results and attribute this great success not only to aterrific film but also to Ashton and Brittany's tremendous support.' The twoleads recently underwent a round of promotional appearances and interviews inMexico City. The comedy is set to roll out in Trinidad on Feb 12; Chile,Dominican Republic and New Zealand on Feb 13; Australia on Feb 20; and Ecuadoron Feb 21.
