Rebecca Kearey (pictured) has been named senior vice president ofinternational marketing and sales at Fox Searchlight Pictures.

Based in the Los Angeles office, Kearey will develop the marketingand sales strategies for all Searchlight overseas product for both theatricaland home entertainment.

Her appointment takes effect immediately and she will report toFox International heads Tomas Jegeus and Paul Hanneman and Fox HomeEntertainment International General Manager Keith Feldman.

"Rebecca has an excellent track record with top notch arthousefilms," Jegeus said. "Her experience coupled with her creativity make her aninvaluable asset to Fox International."

"Searchlight has an exciting and diverse slate for 2006, includingthe chilling The Hills Have Eyes, Mira Nair's The Namesake, Nicholas Hytner's The History Boys, Danny Boyle's Sunshine, and Richard Eyre's Notes On AScandal," Hannemanadded. "We are delighted that Rebecca will be spearheading these importantcampaigns."

Kearey arrives from United Artists, where she served as seniorvice president of marketing since 2004 and supervised the domestic campaignsfor Hotel Rwanda,among others.

Prior to US she served as head of marketing and distribution atThe Works (formerly The Sales Company) in London, as well as senior executiveposts at Independent Pictures and Screen Gems.

She launched hercareer at Fox Searchlight Pictures as a marketing coordinator in 1995.
