Running Apr 28-May 7, the festival programme includes a retrospective of cinematographer James Wong Howe and the C3 Digital Conference and will open with Fast Five.

Taiwanese hit Love In Disguise will close the event and the roster includes centerpiece presentation Almost Perfect, Saigon Electric and Sundance documentary The Bengali Detective, as well as world premieres of Wedding Palace, The Lulu Sessions, Enforcing The Silence, Heart Breaks Open, Bang Bang and Among B-Boys.

C3: The Conference For Creative Content is being staged by Visual Commnications in association with The Coalition Of Asian Pacifics and will explore ways of engaging with the digital world. Festival organisers have also scheduled a spotlight on the work of viral filmmakers Wesley Chan, Ted Fu and Philip Wang

“We are excited and proud to present the Los Angeles premiere of Fast Five as our opening night film,” festival co-director David Magdael said. “Justin [Lin, director of Fast Five] has been a part of our festival family since he was making short films back in his UCLA days.”
