Lantern Lane Entertainmenthas picked up US distribution rights to film and television companyPariah's romantic comedy Seeing Other People, which recently earned a US Comedy Arts Festivalbest actress prize for Julianne Nicholson.

A limited US release isplanned in New York, Los Angeles and two additional markets on May 7, expandingto other cities at a later date.

Directed by Wally Wolodarsky(Sorority Boys) and produced byPariah chief Gavin Polone, Seeing Other People centres on an engaged couple who permit each otherto enjoy a final fling before their wedding.

The picture stars Jay Mohr,Nicholson, Josh Charles, Andy Richter and Liz Phair, among others.

Maya Forbes wrote thescreenplay and Vivian Cannon, Dan Kaplow and Forbes are serving as executiveproducers.

Veteran producer Poloneformed Pariah in 2001 and since then his credits have included the thriller SecretWindow, which opened at number twoin the US charts last weekend, and the upcoming romantic comedy Flowergirl through New Regency.

Founded by David Garber in1998, Lantern Lane provides marketing, sales and producers' reppingservices and is in the process of ramping up its distribution operationfollowing January's limited release of Nick Broomfield's Aileen:Life And Death Of A Serial Killer.
