Warner Bros Picture International's (WBPI) I Am Legend has ruled the roost for the last few weeks and looks good to maintain its number one berth this weekend.

The horror sci-fi has amassed $169.3m and could cross $200m this weekend with strong holds and anticipated launches in Germany on Jan 10 and Italy a day later. WBPI's Beowulf stands at $110m.

New Line International's The Golden Compass has delivered consistently high results in contrast to its poor domestic run and stands at $230.8m.

The UK is the highest territory on $48.8m, followed by South Korea on $22.5m, France on $22.6m, Germany on $20m, Spain on $17.5m and Italy on $12.9m.

The fantasy adaptation has grossed $9.7m in Australia, $8.9m in Mexico, $7.9m in Russia and $4.7m in Brazil.

Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures International's (WDSMPI) Enchanted launches in South Korea on Jan 10 and stands at $144.3m, while National Treasure: Book Of Secrets has grossed $109.7m and has a handful of smaller releases.

Universal's crime drama American Gangster has six launches including Australia and Singapore on Jan 10. It has amassed $74.4m through UPI.

Atonement currently on $39.1m, gets eight launches, among them Spain and Brazil on Jan 11 and Taiwan on Jan 12. Charlie Wilson's War opens in three territories including the UK on Jan 11 and is in the early stages of release. Dan In Real Life opens in the UK through Icon on Jan 11 and is also in the early stages of international release on $1.5m.

Fox International's Aliens Vs Predator - Requiem stands at $39m and opens in Russia and Argentina on Jan 10 followed by Brazil a day later.

Alvin And The Chipmunks stands at $70.8m, while Hitman has grossed $47.7m and opens in Taiwan on Jan 12. The romantic comedy 27 Dresses, which Fox International holds for most of the world excluding Scandinavia, opens in Australia on Jan 10 day-and-date with North America.

DreamWorks-Paramount's The Kite Runner has grossed $3.1m and launches in Mexico on Jan 11
