LosAngeles-based sales and distribution outfit Lightning Entertainment hasacquired international rights to Honey Creek Pictures' first feature production,the teen horror picture Dead Scared.

Dead Scared will get a world premiere screening atthe AFM and centres on five college children trapped in a haunted mansion whoeach become possessed by a demonic spirit.

It stars BradDourif (The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers), Parry Shen (Better Luck Tomorrow) and marks the feature debut of E!Entertainment presenter Brooke Burke.

Rolfe Kanefsky,whose credits include Tomorrow By Midnight and There's Nothing Out There, directed and Tom Seidman produced. L WilliamSeidman, Richard Manus and George Manus served as executive producers.

"All horror fanswill love Dead Scared,"Lightning president Richard S Guardian said in a statement. "It's a very hip,high camp horror film whose retro style and teen humour appeals to horror fansaround the world. This is a solid commercial addition to our internationalsales slate."

The deal wasnegotiated between Guardian and partners Marc Greenberg and Rich Goldberg forLightning Entertainment, and David Garber of Lantern Lane Entertainment forHoney Creek Pictures.

Other pictureson Lightning's AFM roster include horror and thriller titles The Hollow,Brew, American Crime andthe hit Mexican black comedy Nicotina.
