Former Intermedia Films' financial executive Amy Lipshy has beenhired for the newly created position of financial controller at financing,production and worldwide sales house Myriad Pictures.

Based in Los Angeles, Lipshy will report directly to Myriad chieffinancial officer Jon Shiffman and will oversee general accounting functions,production accounting, quarterly financial reporting, financial planning andanalysis.

"Amy joins Myriad at a very exciting time for the company and theindustry," Shiffman said in a statement. "Her extensive financial managementexperience in the entertainment industry will greatly enhance our team."

In her previous position as director of finance at IntermediaLipshy was responsible for all development and production financial reporting.

During her tenure at the company she worked on such films asBasic, Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines and the upcoming thriller Mindhunters, which is due to open in the US inJanuary 2004.

Prior to Intermedia, she held posts at Artists Television Groupand at KPMG, LLP's Entertainment Group.

Myriad's currentprojects include Jeepers Creepers 2 and Christopher Hampton's thriller Imagining Argentina with Arenas Entertainment and UniversalStudios, which is scheduled to receive its world premiere at the Venice FilmFestival.
