Los Angeles-bases sales company MPCA has picked up international rights to Broken Lizard’s comedy The Slammin’ Salmon.
The film stars the Broken Lizard comedy troupe alongside Michael Clarke Duncan, Cobie Smulders, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Morgan Fairchild, Vivica A Fox and Lance Henriksen.
MPCA’s Brad Krevoy and Francisco Gonzalez will introduce buyers to the story of a cash-strapped restaurateur who challenges his staff to see who can earn the most money in one night with the prospect of a cash prize or beating for the best and worst perfomers.
“This is one of those rare comedies that, in addition to being extremely funny, will travel all around the world,” Krevoy said. “The humour is universally appealing to all audiences while satisfying to Broken Lizard’s proven fanbase.”
Broken Lizard comprises Kevin Heffernan, Jay Chandrasekhar, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter and Erik Stolhanske.
Rich Perello negotiated the deal on behalf of Broken Lizard with Gonzalez and Reuben Liber for MPCA.
