FoxInternational's The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen (LXG) elevated its international runningtotal to $105.4m with a $4.6m weekend haul from 2,457 screens in 23 marketsthat saw decent holdovers in the UK, Germany and Japan.

Thefantasy-adventure added $1.4m from 362 screens in its third week in the UK,dropping 31% for a $9.8m running total there. It raised its four-week total inJapan by $816,000 to $9.1m and grossed $479,000 for $11.7m in its fifth week inGermany.

In its firstoverseas bows the legal thriller Runaway Jury opened number two in Australia on$776,000 from 196, higher than the openings for High Crimes and The Juror. Runaway Jury has an early international running totalof $1.1m.

Alien (Director's Cut) grossed $639,000 from 560 screens ineight markets at the weekend to raise its total to $1.3m. It took $352,000 from134 in the UK, where the distributor also opened Jim Sheridan's acclaimed dramaIn America on$480,000 from 87. The film was number one in Ireland and expands in the UK overthe next few weeks.

In smaller bows,the comedy-drama Bend It Like Beckham opened in Brazil on $41,000 from 25 screens, raising therunning total in Fox International's Latin American market to $394,000.Meanwhile supernatural thriller The Sin Eater opened in Mexico on $244,000 from 150and to date has amassed $1.2m in all its markets.
