Canadian company Sullivan Entertainment's Magic Flute Diaries will receive its world premiere at the Palm Beach International Film Festival during the week of April 10-17.

Kevin Sullivan's contemporary adaptation of the Mozart fantasy is set against the staging of an opera in Salzburg for the 250th celebration of Mozart's birthday.

An American singer becomes obsessed with a mysterious Russian soprano after he is cast as the lead, Tamino. Unable to distinguish between fantasy and reality, he finds himself seduced as much by Mozart's music as by the bewitching diva.

Rutger Hauer, Warren Christie and singer Mireille Asselin star alongside Toronto's Opera Atelier Baroque Opera Company.
