Mark Markline has beenpromoted to vice president of international publicity at Universal Pictures,where he will oversee the bulk of the studio's international theatricalcampaigns from production through release in all territories.
Based on the studio lot inLos Angeles, Markline will immediately begin work on such titles as TheBourne Supremacy, Ray, and KingKong, among others. He will reportto international marketing and distribution president David Kosse, who is basedin London.
Markline joined Universal asa senior publicist in 2002 and worked on international campaigns for 8 Mile,Hulk, American Wedding and VanHelsing among others.
Prior to Universal he servedas executive director of field publicity and promotions for USA Films, wherehis credits included Being John Malkovich, Traffic and Gosford Park.
Prior to USA he served as amanager of field publicity and promotions for MGM and as a coordinator in fieldpublicity and promotions at New Line.
