The world premiere of GarryMarshall's comedy Raising Helenstarring Kate Hudson at the Tribeca Film Festival will kick off a tribute tothe veteran director on May 2.

The screening will befollowed by an on-stage interview and Q&A session with Marshall, whosecredits include Pretty Woman, The Princess Diaries and Runaway Bride.

"We are honoured andthrilled to have the opportunity to pay tribute to Garry Marshall at thisyear's Tribeca Film Festival,' festival co-founder Jane Rosenthal said ina statement.

'Garry's work hasdelighted audiences around the world for decades and he continues to transportand surprise us with the depth of his talent and the breadth of his artisticvision.'

Raising Helen stars Hudson as a young woman who becomes theguardian of her late sister's three children. John Corbett, Joan Cusack andHelen Mirren also star.

Marshall's family sequel ThePrincess Diaries 2 will be releasedthrough Buena Vista on Aug 11.

The 2004 festival isscheduled to take place in various locations throughout lower Manhattan fromMay 1-9.
