Los Angeles-based TV programming production and distribution houseMarVista Entertainment is moving into the theatrical arena with the acquisitionof all international rights excluding the UK and Canada to The SasquatchDumpling Gang.

MarVista will introduce the project to buyers at AFM inSanta Monica next month. Company president Michael Jacobs said the venture wasthe next logical step following the launch of the home entertainment label lastmonth.

Tim Skousen's quirky comedy was produced by Kevin Spacey and DanaBrunetti's Trigger Street Productions and Crazy Dreams Entertainment.

Jon Heder, Jeremy Sumpter, Justin Long, Carl Weathers, HubbelPalmer, Steve Tobolowsky, Jon Gries, Joey Kern and Rob Pinkston star in thestory of friends who investigate mysterious footprints in the woods.

Zac Reeder, MarVista's recently appointed head ofacquisitions, negotiated the acquisition.

MarVista's AFMslate includes Past Sins, Cries In The Dark, Disaster Zone: Volcano In NewYork, Night Of Terror,and Instant Message.
