LA-based production services outfit Montana Artists Agency has hired studio and production veteran Matt Birch as senior vice president of features.
The move bolsters both the domestic and global reach of the company, which services the film, commercial, television, music video and multimedia industries worldwide.
Through his experience and network of relationships, Birch is planning to help Montana service productions in the UK and Eastern Europe and sign new production service companies in the US and Europe.
He arrives from Endgame Entertainment, where he oversaw physical production of such films as The Brothers Bloom, An Education and A Good Old Fashioned Orgy starring Jason Sudeikis, Will Forte, Leslie Bibb, Lake Bell and Lindsay Sloane.
Prior to Endgame he served as production supervisor and production manager for such films as Transformers, Mission: Impossible 3, Elizabethtown, Constantine, and The Italian Job.
'His unique combination of practical production experience and studio production background makes Matt a great asset for our agency,' Montana president and CEO Jon Furie said. 'He not only intimately understands the below-the-line world, but also the perspective of a studio executive.'
