Sydney director Alison McLean, whose most recent film was Jesus' Son, is tipped to helm Golden Delicious, a black comedy about four women who kidnap a male prostitute.

Written by Christine Rogers and Anne Kennedy, Golden Delicious is being produced by Trevor Haysom who was associate producer on McLean's Crush.

Haysom's other well advanced project is My Father's Den, an adaptation of a Maurice Gee novel of the same name by director-writer Brad McGann. His production company, THE Ltd, is one of three currently working with a range of shorts filmmakers with funding from the New Zealand Film Commission.
