Other top nominees include The Artist, The Kid With A Bike, The King’s Speech, Le Havre and In A Better World.

Lars von Trier’s Melancholia leads the nominations for the 24th European Film Awards, with 7 nods.

Following with four nominations each are Michel Haznavicius’ The Artist, the Dardenne brothers’ The Kid With A Bike, Tom Hooper’s The King’s Speech, Aki Kaurismaki’s Le Havre and Susanne Bier’s In A Better World.

Those six films also comprise the nominees for Best European Film.

More than 2,500 EFA members will now vote for the winners. The awards are handed out at the EFA ceremony on Dec 3 in Berlin.
