Independent UK distributor Metro Tartan Distribution has acquired Un Certain Regard title Angel On The Right and Respiro, which won the Grand Prize at the Cannes Critics Week.

Other recent additions to Metro Tartan's line-up include Full Time-Killer, a Hong Kong film directed by Johnny To and starring Andy Lau, and Gaspar Noe's controversial Cannes title Irreversible, starring Monica Bellucci and Vincent Cassel. All of the titles will be released later this year or early next year.

Angel On The Right, from Flight Of The Bee director Djamshed Usmonov, is a study of a post-war community in Tajikistan. Respiro is about an eccentric young mother in Sicily, while Full Time-Killer is about two hit men with different ideals.
