UK sales company Metropolis has added Iain Softley’s thriller Trap for Cinderella to its slate for the AFM.

Directed and adapted by Iain Softley, Trap for Cinderella, is based on the novel of the same name by
Sébastien Japrisot (One Deadly Summer, A Very Long Engagement).

The story centres on two women - one rich and the other poor, trapped inside a beach house in a French resort when it is gutted by fire. Only one of them survives, burnt beyond recognition and in a state of total amnesia. Who is she, the heiress or her penniless friend? A killer or an intended victim?

Trap for Cinderella will star Imogen Poots and Felicity Jones.

The film, produced by Robert Jones and Dixie Linde  along with Iain Softley, will shoot in both London and France, in February 2011.

Metropolis’ slate also includes Phil Traill’s Chalet Girl, which will have its first market screenings at the AFM. The film is produced by Pippa Cross, Harriet Rees, Dietmar Güntsche and Wolfgang Behr and stars Felicity Jones, Ed Westwick, Tamsin Egerton, Brooke Shields, Bill Bailey and Bill Nighy.
