Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's Amores Perros and Alfonso Cuaron's Y Tu Mama Tambien are among a line-up of seven Mexican pictures thatwill tour the US from now until September 2005 under the banner of the FirstContemporary Mexican Film Week.
The tour arrivesin Los Angeles from Dec 7-13 and includes the above two titles as well asAlejandro Springall's drama Santitos, Antonio Serrano's hit comedy Sexo, Pudor Y Lagrimas and Maria Novaro's Sin Dejar Huella.
The line-upincludes two documentaries - Juan Carlos Rulfo's father-son essay Del OlvidoAl No Me Acuerdo, and GabrielOrozco, a profile of theMexican artist by Juan Carlos Martin.
Tour organisers have scheduled a series of filmmakerappearances, press conferences, workshops and Q&A sessions afterscreenings.
The tour istentatively set to play in Chicago from Mar 28-Apr 3 2005, Miami from May 1-7,Houston from Jun 2-9, Montreal from Jun 16-23, Toronto from Jul 5-13, andVancouver from Aug 1-7.
FirstContemporary Mexican Film Week is organised by the Mexico Tourism Board and theFundacion Mexico Puente de Encuentros.
