Hit films including The Scorpion King, The Mummy Returns and Gladiator headline a package of feature films and made-for-TV programming licensed by Universal to leading Mexican broadcaster Televisa.

The deal, announced at MIPCOM, is a multi-year contract giving Televisa exclusive terrestrial free-TV rights in Mexico. It spans new and library product. The two groups have previously had similar accords and Universal Television Distribution's vice president Latin America, Chris Philip said: "We're thrilled to extend our successful relationship with Televisa."

Current series licensed under the deal include Monk, Robbery Homicide Division and The Grubbs.
