Avi Lerner's MillenniumFilms has extended its non-exclusive international distribution deal to handlea further ten pictures for Emmett/Furla Films.

The partners' most recentundertaking is David Burke's $25m journalism thriller Edison starring Justin Timberlake, Morgan Freeman, KevinSpacey and L L Cool J that began shooting in Vancouver last month.

Emmett/Furla is in postproduction with Millennium on two features: Control, starring Ray Liotta, Willem Dafoe and MichelleRodriguez, and Nine Lives, whichstars Wesley Snipes.

The partners recentlycompleted production on Blind Horizon, which stars Val Kilmer, Neve Campbell and Sam Shepard and will bereleased in the US through Lions Gate.

In a joint statementproducers Randall Emmett and George Furla said: "Millennium allows us thecreative freedom to make the movies we want to."

"Randy and George are two ofmy closest friends," Lerner said, adding: "There have never been any producersI have worked with that get a movie into production quicker and with the classthey show."

Emmett/Furla is in postproduction with Screen Gems and Bob Yari on Love Song For Bobby Long, which stars John Travolta and Scarlett Johansson.
