Miramax is believed to be closing a deal for North American, UK, Australian, New Zealand, South African and Latin American including Brazilian rights to the drama Last Night starring Keira Knightley.

The story follows a married couple who are separated for one night while the husband goes on a business trip with a colleagues to whom he is attracted. While he is away, his wife runs into an old flame.

Sam Worthington, Eva Mendes and Guillaume Canet round out the key cast. Massy Tadjedin wrote and directed and produced alongside Nick Wechsler and Christophe Riandee. Filming is underway in New York.

CAA packaged the project and represents Tadjedin, Worthington, Mendes and Canet.

The agency split North American rights with Endeavor and Gaumont, which is handling worldwide sales and releasing in France. Miramax declined to comment.
