Mitchell Galin has resigned from his position as president and member of the board at New Amsterdam Entertainment. Richard P Rubinstein will now assume the position of president alongside his current roles as chairman and CEO.
Galin, who has relocated to Nashville to set up his own production company On The Lam Inc, will now work with New Amsterdam on a project by project basis.
Michael Messina has concurrently been promoted to director of
development at New Amsterdam.
Rubinstein and Galin have worked together for 14 years, producing a host of film and TV productions as Laurel Entertainment and then New Amsterdam. Their most recent production is six hour miniseries Dune for Sci-Fi Channel. Their joint film credits include Pet Sematary, Creepshow 2, Tales From The Darkside: The Movie, Stephen King's Thinner and The Night Flier.
