New York-based salesand distribution company MonteCristo Entertainment has begun principalphotography in Hamamatsu, Japan, on the horror tale Apartment 1303.
Ataru Oikawa is directing the project about the terrifying circumstancessurrounding a rental apartment, which is expected to be ready for delivery byAFM and stars Noriko Nakagoshi.
Oikawa adapted the screenplay from Kei Oishi's novel and the project isbeing produced by Amuse Inc in association with T O Entertainment, NobleEntertainment and the MonteCristo Fund.
Takeishi Honda and Michael Taverna are serving as executiveproducers.
MonteCristo International has closed deals in Japan (Amuse), South Korea(Unikorea), Scandinavia (Noble), Spain (Flyns Y Piniculas), Italy (DNC),Thailand (Sahamongkolfilm), Singapore and Malaysia (Ram Indo), andIndonesia (PT Camila).
